Hood to Coast Team Finish

May 11: Extra Medals Order Deadline

Last day to order extra race medals (remember your dedicated van drivers and volunteers)!

May 18: Last Day for Free Additions/Substitutions

After this day, adds/subs are $20 per person. (all participants must sign online waiver by this date to avoid the fee).

Saturday, May 30: Seabrook Relay

The creators of the Mother of All Relays and the most popular relay race in the world have officially announced another epic relay. Hood To Coast Washington will span 77 miles through the Evergreen State beginning from Washington’s Hood Canal and ending at the beautiful Pacific Ocean. This one-day, one-van, six-member race features all the sought after aspects of the original Hood To Coast Relay in Oregon. However, some things will be different. No sleeping fields, no major exchanges, no running in the middle of the night, and no need to take Friday off work. http://htcraceseries.com/htcwa-event/

June 2020

June 18: Last Day to Order Extra Shirts/Update T-Shirt Size

Last day to order extra race shirts and update sizes. Size and quantity you have on your roster on this date is what you will receive on Packet Pickup Day. Any t-shirts submitted after this date will receive remaining sizes that are available.

June  18: Teams must have a minimum of 8 members on roster.

All teams must have a minimum of  8 members signed up by this date in order to participate.

June  18: 8 Members of Team must have completed mandatory Finish Time Survey

A minimum of 8 team members must complete the Finish Time Survey by this date in order to receive a start time. Submit your most accurate/up-to date race time by registering and completing one of the HTC Race Series events!

June 25: Race Pace / Finish Time Update

Last day to update previous race pace/finish times for estimated start seeding, within your Team Clubhouse.

Saturday, June 27: Hood To Coast China

The 4th annual BMW HTC China Relay will take place in picturesque mountains, 2 ½ hours north of Beijing at the Genting Resort -site of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Teams of five (one vehicle per team) descending off the mountain and traverse through Chinese countryside and welcoming villages, to finish in the Grass Skyline fields of Zhangjiakou. July 8: Volunteer Invites Begin for Team Captains

Starting at 10am PST, check your Team Clubhouse for the ‘Add Volunteer’ button (if one team member is located within a 100 mile radius of Portland, you will be prompted). Invite your volunteers, they will be sent an automatic email invite (verify with volunteers that they have received this email). Volunteer registration and job selection will start July 9 at 8am PST.

Volunteer registration and training will end on August 5 at 11:59pm.

July 9: Volunteer  Registration and Job Selection Begins
OPENS @ 8am PST

Volunteers will follow the link in the email that was sent. Volunteers will be able to start their training and select a job on JULY 9 at 8am from the invite email they receive. Volunteer registration and training will end on August 5th at 11:59pm.

Saturday, July 25th: Windy River Relay

Hood River!

The Oregon Classic caps off the relay season by starting and finishing on the beautiful banks of the Hood River Waterfront. Come join Les Schwab, Nike, Aftershokz and Full Sail Brewing on Saturday, April 4th for the final relay of the season!

Just like other HTC one-day relays, this course has an epic start and finish at the Hood River Waterfront. The looped course will take participants from downtown Hood River at Full Sail Brewing through the beautiful orchards towards the Cascade Mountain’s majestic views and serene waterways. The race will begin its downhill return to the Columbia River at Tamanawas Falls and Cold Spring Creek near Mt. Hood. The fast second half of the classic ends on the banks of the Columbia River.

August 5: Volunteer Training Closes: Unassigned volunteers will be randomly assigned to open positions on 8/6.

Volunteers who have completed the online training and have not selected a volunteer position will be randomly assigned to one. These random job assignments CANNOT BE CHANGED once assignments are issued. Closing at 11:59pm.

August 7: Packet Hold Issued for Local Teams with less than 3 Volunteers

All local teams with less than three volunteers will not be able to pick up their race bag at Packet Pick Up. Race bags with necessary materials to participate in the event will be held until three volunteers have been confirmed.

Team start times are posted via logging into your Team Clubhouse.

Saturday, August 29th: Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Category Winning Teams Announced & Providence Cancer Institute Fundraising Totals

5:25pm: The Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Category Hood To Coast and Portland To Coast WINNING TEAMS will be announced!

Providence Cancer Institute overall fundraising results will be announced in front of the main stage.

Sunday, August 30th: Official Awards Ceremony

9:00am: The Top 6 teams in each Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Category will be announced and given their awards. Hood To Coast awards will begin at 9:00am with Portland To Coast and High School Challenge following.

Saturday, September 12: Cape Lookout Relay

This historic race course is the genesis of the Mother of All Relays, where it all started back in 1982. The stunning course remained unchanged until eventually the popularity of Hood To Coast reached participants from all 50 states and 7 continents, resulting in the race course outgrowing its roots, and a move north was required, with the Finish Line in Seaside, OR. Now, the first Hood To Coast Relay course is back with Hood To Coast Pacific City…The Original!

Thursday, September 2020 Date TBD: Hood To Coast Israel

The Bible-Revival relay in its 8th year, will include 12 sections of 6-12 kilometers having groups of 3, 4, or 6 covering the distance. Also available are 50k and 100k ultra races along with a unique half marathon passing through many vineyards.  To enable an awesome experience, Bible-Revival Village will be set up/open during the whole event, serving as our start and finish point and offering participants food, drinks, great music and a place to rest.

Saturday, October 3rd: High Desert Relay

Hood To Coast High Desert is a one-day, one van, six-member race featuring all the sought-after aspects of the original Hood To Coast Relay. But guess what? No sleeping fields, no major exchanges, no running in the middle of the night, and no need to take Friday off work. Participants get to leave the city behind with each leg showcasing something special, like majestic mountains, big clear skies, and after a day of traversing the high desert, enjoy the “Best Resort in the PNW”. For the past three years, Brasada Ranch has been named the Best Resort in the Pacific Northwest by Conde Nast Traveler.

Saturday, December 5: Hood To Coast Hainan Relay

The inaugural BMW HTC Hainan Island Relay takes off in the Yanoda Rainforest, running through gorgeous, mountainous terrain, down to the sea to hug the coastline for the remaining half of the race, finishing on a wide sandy beach in Sanya in southern Hainan Island. This tropical paradise is known as the Hawaii of Asia and doesn’t require a visa to come to!  Competitive international and domestic running teams of five will be sure to make this an annual tradition. Click for more info!

The 3rd annual BMW Hood To Coast Taiwan Relay brings the iconic adventure to Taiwan, which must be accomplished at least once in a lifetime! This isn’t just an opportunity to run, it is an epic, memorable challenge and adventure with friends, family, and co-workers.

Saturday, February 27th: Hilton Head Relay

HTC lands on beautiful Hilton Head Island, South Carolina! Hood To Coast Hilton Head is the flattest and fastest HTC one-day relay course with the journey starting and finishing at the beautiful The Beach House on the #1 Island in the Continental United States. Each team of six will run 60 MILES (or walk 42 miles) with every participant completing two legs of the race. Pre and Post-event participants get to leave the winter weather behind with 12 miles of pristine beaches, sun, sand, and surf. Enjoy 33 world-class golf courses, 300 tennis courts, over 250 restaurants, and of course our host resort, The Beach House and their iconic Tiki Hut. Just like the original Hood To Coast in Oregon, the Hilton Head experience brings together teams to conquer a breathtaking course, and create a life-long bond.
