If you want to go FAST, run ALONE; If you want to go FAR, run TOGETHER
The 38th annual Hood To Coast Relay, located in Oregon, is the most popular relay race in the world annually drawing participants from over 40 countries. Known as the Mother of All Relays, the event takes 12-member relay teams 199 miles from the iconic top of Mount Hood to the beaches of the Pacific Ocean. The event has sold-out on opening day of registration for 21 consecutive years, and annually places another 40,000 hopeful participants on a wait list.
The 4th annual BMW Hood To Coast China Relay brings that same essence to China! This isn’t just an opportunity to run, it is an epic, memorable challenge and adventure with friends, family, and co-workers.
The BMW HTC China Relay was the first international Hood To Coast, and promises another truly top notch, professional, and incredibly memorable relay adventure! Nature and adventure await five-member teams traveling in one vehicle over a gorgeous, varied 109.2 mile rural course. The race begins 2 ½ hours northeast of Beijing at the Taiwoo Ski Resort in Zhangjiakou, site of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Runners traverse down the mountain, through Chongli and along rolling farmland, up another challenging mountain and back down into a rolling grass skyline course where participants finish in the Central Plains at Prince Lake with a big celebratory Finish Party, with live music, food, drink and additional entertainment.
